Workshops on issues of leadership, power and hierarchy in organisations.

Conventional leadership development is very limited in improving leadership competence
in the spheres we specialise in. The very high levels of bullying and employee dissatisafaction that are being regularly reported (see Background in Home) are testimony to this.

Because there is so much denial in organisations about bullying and employee dissatisfaction, mainstream leadership development is not geared up to deal with these difficult issues.

These workshops provide you with an opportunity to:

  • Have an in-depth look at your own attitudes to power and influence;
  • Learn about the supportive and negative influences on your leadership behaviour;
  • Get insight into the effects of your behaviour on those you lead;
  • Work out how to improve organisational performance and develop a nurturing working environment;
  • Rediscover your leadership integrity;
  • Improve your leadership competencies.

Who will benefit?

  • Leaders who are really interested in improving their emotional intelligenge and leadership effectiveness;
  • Experienced and new leaders alike;
  • In-house leadership development professionals
  • People with leadership aspirations;
  • People who want to be more effectively led.

We run these workshops

  • on a  public basis for those who wish to deal with these issues away from their place of work
  • or as in-house modules for organisations.

Our focus wil include:

  • Power and hierarchy - uses and abuses;
  • What is your relationship with power and influence - yours and others?
  • Leadership force-fields - the good, the bad and the ugly;
  • Nurturing leadership models - theory and practice;
  • How to clean up your communication;
  • Performance and development - from 'either/or' to 'both/and';
  • Your own leadership development challenges.
Our workshops are largely experiential so numbers are limited to 15 in order to foster a safe envoronment in which people can feel free and able to participate.

Our emphasis is on the personal, internal and behavioural.

Arrangements

We respond to requests for workshops throughout the UK and rest of Europe. If you are interested in setting one up in your area or organisation, or wish to register your interest, please contact us.
